When properly equipped, the Sierra 2500 has a maximum towing capacity of 18,500 pounds with either a conventional or gooseneck hitch. With a conventional hitch, the Sierra 3500 handles up to 20,000 pounds and up to 31,180 pounds with the gooseneck hitch.
